  • Remonstrance of the Massachusetts Medical Society to the General Court requesting that the petition not be granted, p. [5]-8. Signed on p. 11 "In behalf of the Society. John Warren, president." Pages 9-10 include the names of the fellows of the Massachusetts Medical Society present at the annual meeting on June 5, 1811, when the memorial was "read, accepted (with one dissenting voice) and ordered to be presented."
  • "Boston, October 17th, 1811. At a stated meeting of ... the Massachusetts Medical Society ... the committee appointed to present to the General Court the remonstrance of the Society against the petition for a College of Physicians, be empowered to print the said remonstrance, and also the petition ... and a copy transmitted to each of the fellows of the Society. Attest. Thos. Welsh, corresponding sec'ry."--p. [2]
