Note
  • Part of the library digital collection of Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800
  • Advertised in the Newport Mercury, Dec. 10, 1799
  • Probably by Remington Southwick. In the Columbian Minerva (Dedham, Mass.), Oct 9, 1800 is advertised "In the press ... the Columbian calendar, or almanac for 1801 ... the astronomical part is by Remington Southwick, of Mendon, who published an almanack last year in Rhode Island, which was much approved of." The only other Rhode Island almanacs for 1800 were the New England calendar by Eliab Wilkinson, and the New England almanack or Lady's and gentleman's diary by Isaac Bickerstaff, which was apparently the work of Nathan Daboll
  • The Anatomy and a title vignette are the only illustrations
