- Engraved title page, followed by eleven leaves of plates, printed on one side only. Each leaf contains two engraved illustrations; the illustrations are numbered 1-22. the letterpress text (p. [25]-59) comprises 24 numbered sections. The first 22 sections correspond to the 22 illustrations. The 23rd section ("Skipping") seems a description of an illustration, though none exists. The 24th section ("The young mouse") is a fable
- Another impression has ornamental woodcuts on p. 59 and [60], and colophon on p. [60]: John Bioren, printer. In the present impression, the colophon and woodcuts are not present. The two impressions are not distinguished by Shaw & Shoemaker, Welch, or Rosenbach
