- To the Honorable the Representatives of the freemen of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met. : The petition of the subscribers, inhabitants of the city of Philadelphia, and its environs, respectfully sheweth, that the necessity of enlarging the public markets of the city, is so evident as to admit of no doubt, ... And in duty bound will ever pray. September 19, 1799.
