- "These volumes are a clumsy attempt, by some dealer in remainders, to deceive. The paper, printing, and signatures of the body of the work all verify these volumes to be volumes III and IV of the edition printed by John W. Folsom, for E. Larkin, Junior, in Boston, in 1790. But the title-pages, and binding, are probably of a period about the year 1810."--Evans. Welch refutes the notion that these are remainders of Folsom's edition (Evans 22344), but suggests instead that they may be remainders of v. 3 of the Newburyport, Mycall for Blake, [1793] edition (Evans 25163) and v. 4 of the same edition (of which no copy survives) or of v. 4 of the Boston, Hall for Blake, 1795 edition (not in Evans; Welch 71.7)
